Texturize your way into 2010!

As we begin the New Year, there is a new style trend that’s becoming more and more noticeable everywhere, from the runway to television…it’s TEXTURE!

The textured look isn’t just about curl; it’s anything from volume and lift, to soft waves and extreme curls. Recently, many celebrities have been spotted with curls in their hair!

Pull out your curling iron or make an appointment at your favourite Zennkai Salon and get the curls everyone is talking about!

Here are a few simple steps to help you achieve this texturized look:

1	On damp hair, spray a root lifter on roots, such as AG Bigwigg, and gently mist all over the hair.
2	Blow-dry using a round boar bristle brush to smooth and add volume.
3	Once hair is dry, spray with AG Insulate to protect your hair from the heat of the curling iron.
4	Starting at the nape, take 1” horizontal sections at a time. Using a 1” or 1 ¼” barrel curling iron, wrap hair around the barrel starting close to the scalp in a spiral motion leaving the ends out to curl last. This will allow the hair to be curled evenly throughout its entire length.
5	Gently drop the hair without pulling the curl.
6	Mist curls lightly with a finishing spray such as AG Aerodynamics hairspray.
7	Drop down sections, repeating above steps until all hair is curled.
8	Finish with one last spritz of hairspray to seal the look.

To ensure frizz-free ends, apply a light smoothing serum, such as AG Varnish, to the ends. A little goes a long way with this product, so use it sparingly!
