As a Salon Assistant Manager, you will report directly to the Manager and Senior General Manager on a team that will consist of 10-25 members. This role is one of foremost influence in the Salon and includes assisting in overall performance and operation of the location. A successful candidate will have proven sales generation, personnel development strategies, and the ability to develop promotional initiatives. They must also maximize productivity and profitability, complying with specific company policy and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Staff - Training, motivating, evaluating, developing & promoting excellence in each of the team members you oversee
- Guests - Optimizing sales and customer service
- Floor Management - Effectively lead the floor to achieve operational objectives and sales results
- Retail/Ordering - Overseeing inventory operations
- Presentation of Store - Ensuring the salon is immaculate featuring our most profitable asset – retail sales
- Cash - Daily cash calculations to ensure accurate balancing
- Loss Prevention - Ensuring our team adheres to all policies and procedures
- Administration - Understanding and maintaining all administrative systems and their components
Experience Required:
- 1 year experience in a retail/salon environment
- A passion for building a location to a higher level of performance
- Proven ability to generate sales
- A fashionable individual who loves to be on top of the trends
- Possess communication, interpersonal and problem resolution skills
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Flexible schedule including weekends and evenings
- Knowledge of multi-store retail operations is highly desired
- Strong work ethic
- Ability to maintain and handle confidential information with discretion
